Bits and bobs...

This past weekend started the count down for Isa and her tenure at Belmont University.  She was the producer of the Battle of the Bands....I am so proud of her!  She met all of her goals for all the things she wanted to accomplish at Belmont and now she has this last stretch to go and then watch out real world.....
In doing this I got a small break-Zola and I slept in on Saturday.  As you can see we were negotiating getting out of bed....

Well welcome back to the real world this week.  I have been on the run with getting Miguel started at Chattahoochee Tech and online Georgia Virtual to finish up his senior year of K-12.  He is also in Joyful Noise Marching Band and Concert band.  He is taking a drawing class and is finishing his 2nd year of Japanese online and is mastering hiragana and katakana...

17th Century Keeping Box

New release information about the kit for the 17th Century Keeping Box top and chart are on my Facebook site and my Etsy site.

I am taking pre-orders for the kits and they will ship in the next week or so.  Charts will be ready this weekend.  I am working on the accessories for the box and they will be ready in September.
This box design lends itself to be personalized for an anniversary or wedding gift.

The box can be ordered from
I used a Size #3 Oval Stitchers Box in Sea Green
Robert has the good fortune to have the support of several designers.  He is working with all of us to try to meet the demands of our customers.  He has a limited selection of boxes on his website and is taking orders for this box and his other boxes.   Please contact him at LeHay's Shaker Boxes with questions and to place your orders.  Robert will give you an estimated wait time for your box.  Trust me the wait time is worth it.  His boxes are the bomb.

Thank you for your support!

New release Box top and Preview of vintage frogs and containers....

I love it when math works!!!  This will be my first time working with LeHay.  I will be finishing the chart for this box.  It will be on the Size #3 Oval Stitchers Box Sea Green.  Robert LeHay will be taking orders for the box and will ship them in December.  Yes, he is a one man band and is working as hard as he can.  But this will give you time to stitch the topper and the accessories that will be released in the next couple of weeks.

Since this is the first time I have worked with Robert LeHay, it is my fault on the miscommunication on the release of the chart.  But as many of you know his work is outstanding and worth the wait.  I will have all the ordering information on the chart.  Here is his contact information LeHay's Shaker Boxes .  Robert has been very gracious and will take orders for the box.

I cannot wait to finish it this weekend and show off the truly finished project.  I love the versatility of this project.  It could just be a sewing box, or it could be a wedding gift, or anniversary gift.  I am also excited about finishing up the accessories.

I am releasing the accessories as a different chart for those of you that do not want another box in your collection.  Yes, gasp, there are a few of you out there that have enough boxes, or do not want a box, so these accessories will be lovely in your stitching basket.

I have yet to name the new piece....that will happen this weekend-when my brain turns on.  (Smiling)

So, I am off to dye, finish and maybe take a few moments to myself.

As always like and share my business facebook page and my Etsy shop for linens, threads, and accessories.  You never know what I will come up with....like my new obsession with depression glass, vintage frogs and containers to hold your scissors.....

Here are a couple of items that are on sale this weekend on my facebook page.

This lovely piece has a marble base with brass metal holding cut glass container.  The frog with this vase is stunning.

How Steampunk is this!!!! A vintage metal frog paired with a vintage glass container.  So unique.

Who does not love carnival glass.  These berry bowls are so unique and to find frogs that match was an amazing happening for me.

All of these items are for sale on my facebook this weekend and will be moved over to my Etsy shop after the sale has ended if they have not found new homes.

As always, thank you for your support and interest in my designs, trims, velvet and more.

Hugs, Ebeth

Tulip Heart Vase release

I love Fraktur Art.  The primitive simplicity of this art is enchanting.  Fraktur inspired my newest release Tulip Heart Vase.  This charming piece was stitched on 35 count Parchment by Weeks Dye Works using threads from Weeks Dye Works, The Gentle Art and Classic Colorworks.  To give the piece dimension I used one and two strands of the fibers and added embroidery stitches over the Cross Stitch to add old world charm to the piece.  This piece is available on my Etsy Shop and my work Facebook page.

I hope that you enjoy this piece as much as I have enjoyed creating it.

Hope you have a wonderful week and thank you for your support.

Looking toward Fall during the heat of the summer.....

I want to thank Jan Emerick for her magical stitching talents on helping get this new design ready for release.

Witchy Moon is part of an ongoing Halloween series that I have enjoyed developing over the years.  As a designer it is always fun put self imposed restrictions on your design to challenge yourself.  It has been fun trying to keep the pieces as silhouettes and using the same coloring.

Keep any eye out for a second piece to be released soon to go with this series....yes, after a small dry spell I am on a designing kick....so-stay tuned.

The chart for this new release can be ordered off my etsy shop or my business Facebook page.

Enjoy your summer activities, while planning out your new fall stitching projects and Halloween decorations...

As always thank you for your support!  Ebeth
