New Items and Such

OMG-What a crazy year.....I still feel like I just unpacked from the March Needlework Show and it is the end of the year.

It has been amazing to see the support and energy in the Needlework industry during these strange times.  I am so proud of all the prolific stitchers.  It is fun to see people coming back to the craft-it is so fun to hear from 'new' stitchers how amazed they are at the new fabrics, thread choices and creative designs.  Keep stitching!!!!!  Trust me it is cheaper than a therapist-

I wanted to announce new additions to my Etsy Shop.   The first in many is my Holiday Finishing Pack-this new 'grab bag' concept is for the stitchers and finishers that do not have time to hunt down supplies.  I will be offering packets of fabric, trims and at times-little surprises- that will enhance your finishing.  The descriptions will tell you about what is in the groupings.  Each grouping will be limited so do not hesitate if you see something you like.  See the first grouping below.

Holiday Finishing Pack-Texarkana hand dyed Velvet with Berries and Leaves quilting thread and an assortment of 4 trims.

Here are a few new items added to my shop-these wonderful designs come from some talented companies in Italy and the United States.  Some of these designers may be new to you-or old favorites.

Petal Pincusion from MTV Designs

Flower and Acorn Needle Minder MTV Designs

Fairy Wool in Wood is the cutiest designer!!!!
Here is her 'Frosty' that comes with the silver charm

An oldy but goodie from Blackbird Designs

Get ahead on your Americana Stitching-this is a great chart from Blackbird Designs.
This chart has two projects in it-the framed piece and a pin cushion.

This is just a few of my favorite things-smiling.  I have more to add-but that is it for the moment.  Start following more-and get your friends to follow-you never know what I will be putting up.  Also-please look up Friends who like Dames of the Needle/Finger Work on Facebook.  This is a closed group-we have drawings and I do live videos for finishing and other announcements.

Hugs and talk real soon.  Ebeth

Still working and keeping sane

Hello everyone-the last day of March 2020.  Do not forget to say Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit tomorrow morning on April 1, 2020.  Yes, it does seem like we are in a bad April Fool's day repeat....Hope all of you are sane and keeping busy.  Well, I have been busy-here are a few things listed in my Etsy-

Holly's Request 32 count in several cut sizes.  A wonderful blend of darkish blue and hint of blackish grey.....each piece is modeled and wonderful.

Yes, I have show this before-Bee Drum just released in Nashville.  Keep an eye open for more bees.  We need bees to keep our food source coming.  Yes, we do not want to be stung by them, but we do need them.

If you want some laughs, interesting tid bits and info on upcoming things look up Friends Who Like Dames of the Needle/Finger Work  I try to keep you laughing.  We have fun.  I will put up links to my Floss Tube Dames soon.  I have several out there.  Learn how to finish a drum, making cording and just things you might want to know about.  Have a great day-hugs Ebeth

From Nashville till now......and it is not April yet

What can I say.  We heard about this horrible virus as we were getting ready for Nashville Needlework Market.  Our wonderful friends/designers left their beloved countries with the understanding that this was not good, but it was under control.  Before the show was over we did not know how they were getting home and our country was starting to understand that we were under attack from this virus too.  We have gone from freedom of movement and being a social group of people-to isolation and fear.

This is an unprecedented time.  We have had viruses and disease spread through the world and cause havoc and death before.  The thing we face now is that we are a global society.  With the internet and other means of communication we are aware of what is going on all over.  We need to pull together.  This is not the time to divide and push agendas.  Stop pointing fingers and accusing anyone of not doing the best they can.  Stop to reflect and meditiate on your own life and decisions you have made.  Remember the struggles you had to go through to come to the conclusion you did.  Every decision has a consequence-good and or bad.  Our true leaders over the world are doing the best that they can.  The others still want to divide and cause harm.  It saddens me that as grown adults they are unable to put down their weapons and help the masses.  If the UN can ask for all conflicts to stop till we can get this straight-then why cannot the politicians do the same.

I am hopeful that the good will come out.

May you and your loved ones be safe and healthy.  Please look at what acts of kindness you can offer to those in need.  I know many of us are deciding if we can pay our rent/mortgage and other bills-or if we will keep our money and feed our families.  There are things you can do that will not involve money-give time and help to those that need it.  Look around-if you see someone struggling help.

I know all of you have it in you to do an act of kindness for many.  Pull together-get over your selfish side and help.  The quicker we help and do the right thing the faster we will get through this.

I and all in my industry and any other kind of business appreciate your past, present and future support.  Reach out if you need help and stay in touch with those you know may be too stubborn or embarassed to ask for help.

I send my heart felt love, prayers, good thoughts and wishes to all.

Nashville release Nouvelle Lapin Drum

This adorable Silhouette style drum is a cute tribute to spring.  A fresh out of the box look for a drum.  No prim look here.  Tone on tone Sea Glass coloring with ever so light highligh color of pink sets this design off.  A true definition of whimsey.  Stitched on 36 count Sea Glass by From the Cauldron topped with Mermaid's Veil velvet by From the Cauldron.  Drum measures 3.5" tall x 3" in diameter.  The original was stitched with Cadet by Weeks Dye Works and Ninfea by Romy's Creations.
